My Nana was born in Marton, New Zealand.
Her Grandmother's family was on the first boat of immigrants that sailed from Plymouth England to Wellington New Zealand on the boat 'Oriental' in 1840.
Her Grandfather came to New Zealand on a boat from Scotland. She travelled around New Zealand by plane and heard about world news from the radio, television and newspaper. She grew up in a household with her parents and older sister. She says that religion taught her about forgiveness and faith. Her hobbies were dancing, swimming, tennis, netball, badminton and art.
The Oriental sailed from Plymouth England to Wellington New Zealand in 1840. There were 155 passengers on this boat, 62 males, 93 females and the Captain William Wilson.
My Mum was born in Wanganui New Zealand with two other siblings and two parents. Her ancestors came to New Zealand on a boat from Plymouth England. She is a protestant and says that religion has had an impact on her life because her children now go to a Catholic school. She travelled around New Zealand by plane and car and heard about world news from the Television, radio and newspaper. She has an early memory of doing art and playing ourside in kindergarten and her Grandad has a bach in Turakina where she went fishing and got stuck in sinking sand. Her hobbies were dancing, art, sailing, snowboarding, surfing, horse riding, running and squash. She went to world championships for sailing.She says that life is different now because it is much busier, competitive and more materialistic.

My Dad was born in Rarotonga Cook Islands where he lived for two years.
He then lived in Samoa for two years where is sister was born.
My Dad came to New Zealand in 1977 at the age of 4. His ancestors came to New Zealand on a boat from overseas.
He grew up with his Mum, Dad and younger sister. Their old house in Rarotonga is now a restuarant called Tamarind House.
His hobbies were cricket, rugby, soccer, tennis and squash.
Tamarind House is my Dad's family's old house that they use to live in, in Rarotonga. It is now a popular restaurant.
